Description

This Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito is packed with flavor, layered with creamy ranch and chipotle sauce, juicy grilled chicken, and crunchy tortilla strips—all wrapped in a warm, grilled tortilla. It’s an easy family-friendly dinner ready in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 large (10-inch) flour tortillas

  • 16 oz grilled chicken breast strips

  • 16 oz shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend/Colby Jack)

  • ½ head iceberg lettuce (about 4 cups), chopped

  • 1¼ cup diced tomatoes (approx. ¾ large beefsteak tomato)

  • 3 oz crunchy tortilla strips (or crushed tortilla chips)

  • ½ cup ranch dressing

  • ½ cup creamy chipotle sauce (e.g., Taco Bell brand or homemade)

Instructions

  • Prep all ingredients. Chop the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and warm the tortillas and grilled chicken strips.

  • Assemble each burrito. On each tortilla, layer:

    • ½ cup shredded cheese

    • ½ cup grilled chicken

    • 1 tbsp chipotle sauce

    • 1 tbsp ranch dressing

    • ½ cup lettuce

    • 2 tbsp diced tomatoes

    • ⅓ cup tortilla strips

  • Wrap tightly. Fold in the sides, roll the burrito tightly, and set aside seam-side down.

  • Grill burritos. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Grill each burrito on all sides until golden and crispy—about 2–3 minutes per side.

  • Serve hot. Slice in half, garnish with lime or cilantro if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra spice, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling.

  • Swap cheddar with pepper jack for added heat.

  • To make ahead: assemble burritos, wrap in foil, and refrigerate or freeze before grilling.

  • Use Greek yogurt ranch for a lighter twist.
