These Grilled Onion Blossoms are a smoky, cheesy, low-carb twist on the classic Bloomin’ Onion. No frying needed—just grill until tender and golden, then serve with a tangy homemade dipping sauce for the ultimate BBQ side or snack.

- For the Dip:
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
- For the Onion Blossoms:
- 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 4 sweet Vidalia onions, peeled with root end intact
- Olive oil, for drizzling
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, cayenne, and a pinch of salt. Chill in the fridge.
- Mix Parmesan, paprika, cayenne, and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Add salt to taste.
- Cut the stem end off each onion and place it flat-side down. Slice into 12–16 segments, cutting 1/2 inch from the root. Flip over and gently separate layers to bloom.
- Sprinkle each onion generously with the cheese-spice mix. Drizzle with olive oil.
- Place onions on a preheated grill over medium-high heat. Cover and grill for 15 minutes until tender and charred.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot with the dipping sauce.
