Ingredients
Scale
- 5 to 6 cups seedless watermelon, cut into 1-2 inch cubes
- 2 cups ice cold water
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup lemon juice (about 4 large lemons)
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (about 1 large lime)
- 2 tablespoons agave nectar (optional, or substitute honey/maple syrup)
- Fresh mint leaves, watermelon slices, lemon or lime slices (optional garnishes)
Instructions
- Add watermelon cubes, ice cold water, and granulated sugar to a blender.
- Blend until very smooth.
- Pour the blended watermelon mixture through a strainer into a large pitcher or bowl.
- Use a spoon to help push the juice through if needed.
- Stir in lemon juice, lime juice, and agave nectar (if using).
- Mix until the agave fully dissolves.
- Taste and adjust: Add more sugar, agave, or honey if you like it sweeter.
- Serve over ice with slices of watermelon and fresh mint.
- Optional: Garnish with lemon or lime wheels for an extra pretty touch.
Notes
Use ripe watermelon for best flavor. Chill your watermelon before blending to make it extra cold without watering it down. Strain thoroughly for a smooth lemonade texture. Add sparkling water for a fizzy twist or freeze into popsicles for a fun summer treat.
